How this is taught

Most preparation optimises for volume. This optimises for transfer — whether what you learn still works on a problem nobody prepared you for.

Trade-offs, out loud

Senior engineering is judgement, not recall. Every design is worked through as a live reasoning process — what the alternatives were, what each one costs, and why one was chosen under these constraints.

Internals, not APIs

You will reason about why a B-tree index behaves the way it does, what actually happens in a cache stampede, and how a cab service finds the nearest driver among millions in real time. Understanding the machinery is what separates a senior engineer from a library user.

Methods, not memorised answers

Memorising four hundred solutions or a dozen architecture diagrams does not transfer. Learning the methods underneath them does, so you can reason through a problem nobody prepared you for.

Built for working engineers

Structured into modules you can finish in evenings and weekends, with a full year of access to work through them and six months of job support.

I teach how real software systems are built — from data structures to distributed systems. My own work spans production systems in healthcare, automotive e-commerce, education and consumer platforms, including data workflows that processed millions of patient records. I help software engineers land their dream jobs.

Who this is for

Built for engineers who already ship code and want to understand how systems really work.

This isn't for you if…

  • You want a list of answers to memorise the night before an interview
  • You've never written code before
  • You're looking for a shortcut rather than a real understanding

Courses

Pick based on the role you are targeting. Each course includes the foundations it builds on.

Intermediate to Advanced28 weeks

DSA and System Design

The complete path from coding rounds to senior and staff-level design interviews.

  • Everything from the DSA course, plus the design skills senior interviews test
  • Reason about trade-offs in latency, consistency, availability and cost out loud
  • Choose between SQL and NoSQL, and justify the choice with real constraints
  • Design caching, sharding and replication strategies that survive scrutiny

Beginner to Advanced16 weeks

Data Structures and Algorithms

Solve any interview problem by recognising the pattern behind it.

  • Analyse the time and space complexity of any piece of code with confidence
  • Recognise which of the core patterns a new problem belongs to within minutes
  • Implement every fundamental data structure from scratch and know when to reach for each
  • Break down dynamic programming problems into states and transitions systematically

SQL vs NoSQL: How to Actually Choose

In this article we will learn what genuinely separates SQL and NoSQL databases, why the common answers about scale and schema are mostly wrong, the four NoSQL families and what each is for, and a decision procedure you can defend in a system design interview.

Consistent Hashing Explained

In this article we will learn what consistent hashing is, why the simple modulo approach falls apart when you add a server, how the hash ring works step by step, what virtual nodes solve, and where consistent hashing is used in real systems like Cassandra, DynamoDB and Memcached.

BFS vs DFS: Which Traversal Should You Use?

In this article we will learn how breadth-first search and depth-first search actually differ, why BFS finds the shortest path in an unweighted graph and DFS does not, how their memory usage compares on wide and deep graphs, and a decision rule for choosing between them in an interview.

The Sliding Window Pattern

In this article we will learn what the sliding window pattern is, how it turns an O(n²) brute force into an O(n) scan, the difference between fixed-size and variable-size windows, how to recognise a sliding window problem from its wording, and the mistakes that quietly break the invariant.

Time and Space Complexity Explained

In this article we will learn what time and space complexity mean, why Big-O notation drops constants, how to analyse loops and recursion step by step, what auxiliary space is, and how to compare two solutions without ever running them.

Frequently asked questions

Which course should I start with?
If you are targeting senior, staff or architect roles where design rounds decide the outcome, take DSA and System Design — it contains the full DSA curriculum as its foundation plus twelve weeks of system design. If you only need to shore up coding rounds and fundamentals, the DSA course on its own is enough.
Do I need a computer science degree?
No. The DSA course starts from complexity analysis and assumes only that you can write code in some language. Many students are self-taught developers who never formally studied algorithms.
How long does it take to finish?
The DSA course runs sixteen weeks at roughly eight hours a week. DSA and System Design runs twenty-eight weeks at roughly ten hours a week. You get a full year of access to the modules, so you can go slower without losing anything.
Is the material updated?
Yes. Updates released while your access is active are included at no extra cost. Interview patterns and system design practices shift, and the curriculum shifts with them.
