Why Insight CodeAcademy exists

Most interview preparation optimises for volume. Solve four hundred problems, watch a playlist, memorise a set of architecture diagrams. It produces a strange result: engineers who can recite a solution they have seen and freeze completely on one they have not.

The problem is that volume trains recall, and interviews test transfer. A good interviewer picks a problem you almost certainly have not seen, precisely to find out whether you understand the machinery or merely remember the output.

These courses are built the other way round. Every topic is taught as a reusable method — the pattern underneath the problem, the internals underneath the API, the trade-off underneath the design choice. Fewer problems, understood properly, transfer further than hundreds skimmed.

Who teaches this

I teach how real software systems are built — from data structures to distributed systems. My own work spans production systems in healthcare, automotive e-commerce, education and consumer platforms, including data workflows that processed millions of patient records. I help software engineers land their dream jobs.

How the material is structured

Everything is self-paced and modular, because the people taking these courses have jobs. You get a full year of access to the modules and six months of job support, so a busy quarter costs you time but not progress.

A large amount of the material is free. The blog is written the same way the courses are taught, and the DSA and System Design guides map out the full territory. Read those first and decide for yourself whether the approach suits you.
